In this blog i will demostrate how to create player using LibVLC and Qt.
First you need to install LibVLC into your system. if you not, follow
how to install
tutorial to install LibVLC.
Then you need to install Qt. Simply using ubuntu software store install the Qt creater.
First lets create new project in the Qt creator
Open the Qt creator and click create new project
Then select "Qt Gui Application" from Qt widget Project
Enter the Project name as SimplePlayer in the next window for name
Then enter the class name for main winow as MainWindow.
Then you can see the created project as below.
Then let create the Gui of the Simple player
open the mainwindow.ui by double clicking it. then you get the Qt designer like below
drag and drop and drop QGraphicView widget top to the main window like below
Then add 3 button and two horizontal scroller bar to the window as below.
Next need to implement actions for Button
Right Click on the play button and select the slot clicked().
Then it will create the button action method as below.
